Resident Educator Mentor Academy – Day 1 and Day 2 – 5/26/2026

Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a hybrid event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. This is a hybrid training requiring participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and the Virtual meetings are held by Hamilton County ESC.

Refresh & Reset: Celebrating Practice, Reflecting with Purpose, and Planning Ahead – 5/27/2026

This professional learning experience is designed for educators at the close of the school year to pause, celebrate successes, reflect honestly on instructional practice, and strategically prepare for the year ahead. Rather than introducing new initiatives, the session creates space for educators to process their experiences, examine evidence of impact, and identify what is worth sustaining, refining, or releasing. Through guided reflection, collaborative dialogue, and intentional planning, educators leave feeling affirmed in their work, clear about their growth, and grounded in next-year priorities.

Mathematics Tasks in the Thinking Classroom – 5/13/2026

Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC) has rapidly evolved from research to a powerful educational movement, inspiring educators globally. This half day event will combine practices and thinking tasks from both Mathematics Tasks for the Thinking Classroom, K-5 and Mathematics Tasks for the Thinking Classroom, 6-12. OPES 2.0 Evaluator Training – 5/21/2026

Important Session Information:

This two-day training will introduce the essential components within the OPES 2.0 Framework and rubric. Upon completion of the one-day training, participants must complete the online OPES 2.0 assessment to be a credentialed evaluator of principals.
