The terms Neurodiversity and Neuro-Affirming care have become prevalent across various social sectors. Professionals who provide interventions to neurodiverse individuals are often faced with novel challenges as a result. This full day workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the evolution of these terms as well as strategies to navigate conversations with individuals, families, and colleagues. Models for promoting acceptance while meeting individual challenges will be presented. Participants will apply this content to lesson planning and goal monitoring.
