Join us for this two-day session designed for intervention specialists who support elementary students. This learning will focus on empowering special educators with a deep understanding of the foundations of intermediate numeracy which will foster mathematical success for every student. The emphasis will be on the content knowledge needed to support mastery in students with essential skills in intermediate numeracy, such as place value, fractions, multiplication, division, as well as mathematical fluency. Time will also be spent exploring resources for effective intervention, assessment tasks for intermediate numeracy topics and reimagining math goals for Individualized Education Plans. Participants will engage in activities aimed at enriching their knowledge while also exploring effective strategies to support students in their learning journey.
