Seasonal or Temporary Tech Assistance

Do you have specific times (for example school start-up, shut-down, or over spring break) when you could use some additional hands to help respond to mounting technology assistance requests or tasks? Do you have a one time project that you could use an extra person to help you meet a looming deadline such as the rollout of new student or teacher machines or carts?

We employ technology students from local colleges just for this purpose, as an inexpensive way to assist you in meeting the mounting workload that new or aging deployments can cause, or at seasonal times when the number of simultaneous requests dramatically increases.

This service is customizable to meet your needs. Learn about additional technology services at https://www.hcesc.org/technology.

Instructional Technology Audit

After technology has increased within a school or district, its use often grows organically and “pockets of excellence” arise. After several years, it is often difficult for districts to determine the impact of their investment. We can assist with this by providing an instructional technology audit to understand how, how often, and how well technology is being used and integrated into the classroom.

The audit is a comprehensive process, working closely with district/building leadership, to survey, conduct focus groups, and on-site observations. Following this process, the district will receive a comprehensive report aggregating the data collected and providing recommendations for improving the impact that these powerful tools can have in the teaching and learning process. The team will work with district and building leadership to determine the number of on-site days required, the number of focus groups, as well as the focus of the audit.

Instructional Technology Coaching

Technology should be a tool to assist with the learning process. Many times teachers need a hand with seamlessly bringing technology into the classroom environment.

Our instructional technology consultants are skilled in providing side-by-side assistance by mentoring, team teaching, and modeling the use of technology to support instruction. They have experience facilitating conversations with faculty and administrators about changing instruction and assessment in the classroom.

We can also assist in the development of materials and resources to support staff members. The aim of our coaching is to develop capacity and foster growth in each school that is supported, so that when the time comes, the faculty and administration are self-sufficient. The coaching model will be developed with district or building leadership to devise the best outcomes for your staff. The number of days will be determined by district request.
