RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH FROM 5PM – 7PM
Pathways to Employment is Helping Young Adults with Disabilities Transition from School to a Life of Independence.
Hamilton County ESC’s Pathways to Employment is offering an Open House Feb 7th.
Pathways to Employment is welcoming parents, students, and educators with an Open House at their Scarlet Oaks location on February 7th, from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in learning how this program can help young adults with disabilities live happy and productive lives in their communities should attend.
- Pathways to Employment is a comprehensive program for young adults with disabilities, between the ages of 18 and 21.
- Curriculum is centered on work and life skills with real-world job experiences.
- Ultimately, the program prepares them for the transition from high school student to becoming a productive young adult.
Pathways is a unique program in Southwest Ohio.
Pathways is an individualized experience. Pathways staff construct a customized daily schedule that aligns to the needs of each young adult. No two participants have the same experience.
Young men and women learn how to search, apply for, and interview for a job. They understand how to conduct themselves in a professional setting through on-the-job training and the assistance of their job coach. Most importantly, the work experiences provide students the chance to transfer classroom learning to real-world situations.
All participants in the program have access to intervention specialists, transition coordinators, and job coaches. Pathways participants exit the program having gained maturity, independence, and greater confidence, as well as life and employment skills.
Open House – Thursday, February 7th, 2019 (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
