Cracker Barrel of Best Practices for School SLPs – 3/1/2019

Cracker Barrel participants will become familiar with new techniques and materials that are used by colleagues in the field working with children preschool through high school. Participants will learn new techniques and materials that are used by colleagues, the stages of reading development, and explicit instructional and collaboration to provide push-in services in the classroom. The morning Cracker Barrel sessions are from 8:30-11:30 a.m. with 3 fifty minute sessions beginning at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. Participants register for one of the three topics for each session for a total of THREE Cracker Barrel topics in the morning. Participants will have lunch on their own from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The afternoon session will run from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will feature Lisa Williamson, SLP and Janet Cappola, M.S., Reading Specialist, Fairfield Compass Elementary presenting: “JUST GET UP AND DO IT: COLLABORATIVE APPROACH TO PUSH-IN SERVICES FOR LANGUAGE & LITERACY. A certificate of participation will be provided for 6.0 contact hours. No registration fee for: HCESC SLPs & Affiliate SLPs.
