Multilingual Learners Summit – 6/4/2024

Join us for an action-packed day as we learn from Sydney Snyder, nationally known speaker and author of “Culturally Responsive Teaching for Multilingual Learners.”

She will share with us why culturally responsive teaching matters and provide us with tools that we can immediately implement in our daily work with students, colleagues, and families. In addition, smaller breakout sessions will occur to allow us time to delve deeper into the learning and the tools. 

Each participant will be given a copy of “Culturally Responsive Teaching for Multilingual Learners” to extend the learning and access to the tools following the summit.

THE SPA is focused on Career Training to Study, Practice and Apply the concepts for Career Coordinators to expand their skills or learn more about Graduation Requirements, Career Focusing Students and Families for regional opportunities. Attendees will also learn about LINKED Up Connect and the work of the a regional approach to resources and connections for all school districts in Southwest Ohio.

OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training – 6/5/2024

The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of teachers, as defined by the role you serve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA), for effective, high quality and consistent staff evaluation using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become a credentialed evaluator of teachers in the State of Ohio, an individual must be properly licensed, or LEA approved as a peer evaluator, participate in the three-day state-sponsored evaluator training and pass an on-line credentialing assessment. Upon successful completion of the training (attendance for all three days of the training is REQUIRED), participants will have access to the on-line assessment. The three-day state sponsored OTES 2.0 training will provide a better understanding of the OTES 2.0 Framework and Model, allow practice of skills such as scripting, evidence analysis/categorizing, coaching, data conversations and allow for sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.


This 3-day OTES 2.0 FULL CREDENTIALING TRAINING is for NEW administrators and teacher evaluators who have NOT BEEN previously OTES credentialed. MTSS Summit – 6/5/2024

Steve Goodman, Ph.D., will keynote this one-day event. Dr. Goodman is a partner with the Center of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports and a co-investigator with the Integrated MTSS Research Network. OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training – 6/10/2024

The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System 2.0 training is required for evaluators who are new to OTES to address shifts with OTES 2.0 and to lead to a pathway that leads to OTES 2.0 re-credentialing with the objectives of:

1) Promoting an understanding of the procedures within OTES 2.0 and how they differ from OTES 1.0.

2) Promoting an understanding and application of the OTES 2.0 teacher performance rubric while learning to collect evidence that demonstrates teacher performance.

3) Applying lessons learned and best practices from OTES 2.0 implementation to date.

4) Learning about and identifying High-Quality Student Data (HQSD).

Upon completion of the OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training, evaluators (participants) may credential through the new online credentialing system. The OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training will provide a better understanding of the OTES 2.0 Framework and Model, allow practice of skills, and allow for sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.

Our workshop, focusing on the Ohio Curriculum Support Guide, offers a structured approach to customizing your strategic adoption plan for High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). Participants will choose 2 of the 4 workshops built to personalize their experience:

Understanding the Vision: Participants will delve into the visioning process, exploring their educational goals, values, and priorities. Through reflective activities and group discussions, educators will clarify their vision for high-quality instruction and student achievement.


Choosing the Right Resources: Participants will learn how to assess the alignment, rigor, and coherence of potential resources. Facilitators will provide practical strategies and tools to help educators make informed decisions that best serve their students’ needs.


Customizing Your Adoption Plan: Participants will work collaboratively to develop a tailored HQIM adoption plan. Facilitators will guide educators through the process of setting clear goals, identifying implementation strategies, and establishing mechanisms for ongoing support and evaluation.

Implementation Strategies: Participants will explore effective implementation strategies including professional development, coaching, and data-driven decision-making. Educators will leave the workshop equipped with actionable strategies to ensure successful implementation and sustained impact.
