OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training – 5/16/2024

The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of teachers, as defined by the role you serve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA), for effective, high quality and consistent staff evaluation using the OTES 2.0 Model. To become a credentialed evaluator of teachers in the State of Ohio, an individual must be properly licensed, or LEA approved as a peer evaluator, participate in the three-day state-sponsored evaluator training and pass an on-line credentialing assessment. Upon successful completion of the training (attendance for all three days of the training is REQUIRED), participants will have access to the on-line assessment. The three-day state sponsored OTES 2.0 training will provide a better understanding of the OTES 2.0 Framework and Model, allow practice of skills such as scripting, evidence analysis/categorizing, coaching, data conversations and allow for sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation.


This 3-day OTES 2.0 FULL CREDENTIALING TRAINING is for NEW administrators and teacher evaluators who have NOT BEEN previously OTES credentialed. Ohio’s Current Graduation Requirements & LinkedUp Connect for your School – 5/20/2024

Students in the classes of 2023 and beyond are now required to meet a new set of graduation requirements that include credits, competency, and seals. These new graduation requirements can be easily met by some students but can be very confusing for most students and families. Any adult who is working to help youth graduate on time and prepared for post-secondary life should have a solid understanding of the current graduation requirements.

Resident Educator Mentor Academy – Day 1 and Day 2 – 5/23/2024

Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a hybrid event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. This is a hybrid training requiring participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and the Virtual meetings are held by Hamilton County ESC.

SPARK: Specialized Programs: Advancing Resources and Knowledge – 5/29/2024

Three-day training series and access to year-long coaching support and network of professionals within a community of practice.

During the training, participants will engage in interactive presentations, hands-on activities, case studies, and group discussions to deepen their understanding and develop practical skills for effectively supporting neurodiverse students in the classroom. By the end of the three-day training, educators will feel empowered with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to create inclusive and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

After the training, participants will receive 4 half-days of individualized classroom coaching to occur during the 2024-25 school year. Participants will also have membership to the SPARK cohort for the school year; this includes access to online resources, support as well as quarterly networking meetings.

OPES 2.0 Evaluator Training – 5/29/2024

Important Session Information:

This two-day training will introduce the essential components within the OPES 2.0 Framework and rubric. Upon completion of the one-day training, participants must complete the online OPES 2.0 assessment to be a credentialed evaluator of principals.
