From time to time districts find themselves in a situation where they need to fill an administrative position for a short period of time due to unforeseen circumstances. As a result, districts are better off filling the position on an interim basis and then waiting until the end of the school year to pursue a new full-time person when the pool of candidates is more robust.
At Hamilton County ESC, we maintain a pool of experienced retired administrators who are willing to fill-in for these interim positions. They enjoy getting back into the educational setting for a specific period of time. We have provided interim superintendents, assistant superintendents, business managers, special education directors, curriculum directors or specialists, and building administrators. They are employed by Hamilton County ESC as part-time casual employees as the positions arise.
